Last updated 9 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data LoadTakedown collects, why we collect it, who helps us process it and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run and improve the product.

1. Who is responsible for your data

3. Work stored on your device

If you use the app without signing in, your projects and imported drawings are stored in your browser on your device, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers to run LoadTakedown, and they process data only on our instructions:

  • Supabase: accounts, database and file storage for saved projects
  • Vercel: website and app hosting, and cookieless page performance statistics
  • Stripe: payments and subscription management
  • PostHog (EU hosting): product analytics
  • Sentry (EU hosting): error monitoring
  • Formspree: delivery of website form submissions

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK and European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or the standard contractual clauses and UK addendum those providers offer, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

6. How long we keep data

  • Account and saved projects: while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of you asking us to close it.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires (usually six years).
  • Form messages: up to two years, unless we are still in touch.
  • Analytics and error data: up to two years, then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email team@loadtakedown.com. We will reply within one month.

You can change your analytics choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority, but we would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, saved projects are private to your account, and access to production systems is restricted. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

LoadTakedown is for professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update the “last updated” date when this policy changes and, for significant changes, let signed-in users know by email or in the app.
